I really just cannot believe my luck that this is the work I find myself doing.
I’ve always been a “carer” - from early beginnings as the eldest daughter (IYKYK), childhood aspirations of becoming a psychologist (I still have my ‘client notes’ from when I was seven years old) and having the loving moniker of “Mama Bear” with my nearest & dearest (predating my actual years as a Mother).
Caring for and nurturing others has always been part of my default settings.
Life has really life-d (as it does) and with the gift of hindsight I can see all of the ways my journey has perfectly prepared me to be in this space of serving my community in the ways that I do.
In a world that is both heartbreakingly beautiful and enormously heartbreaking, I pray that the work I do and the way I am in community becomes a soft place for people to land.

Join me as we explore the heart of the Masawel Maya healing traditions passed down by the Yucatec Maya Elder Don Elijio Panti. This multi-day workshop is an offering of deep, foundational human knowledge and self-tending practices that transcend the physical "belly" and ripples out in ways that touch the self, soul, greater ecological environment and through time to your own ancestral inheritance.
During our time together we will discuss and learn about:
- The self-care massage techniques to tend to your belly, womb, and spirit - The history and lineage of this work; with an invitation to explore and connect with your own ancestry
- Fundamental female, male & intersex pelvic anatomy
- Pelvic steams & soaks
- Castor oil therapy
- Fajas and pelvic swaddling
- Introduction to spiritual healing
- The basic physiology of trauma
- Plants as allies and spirit medicine
- Nourishment & digestion
- The Rites of Menstruation & Menopause
And so much more!
Hosted via Zoom so anyone, anywhere can attend.
Event links will be emailed to confirmed participants the week prior to training.

Open to all people, there is application of this work for everyone.
At the conclusion of our time together you will also receive access to a comprehensive online portal with video recordings etc.
10% of the total cost of every for class is tithing. This tithing is split three ways. A third goes to the Itzamna Society - Don Elijio's descendants who protect the sacred forest at the Elijio Panti National Park in Belize. A third goes to Walther Cholotio, a Tz'utujil Maya Fire and Daykeeper in Guatemala. The final third goes to supporting indigenous healers and/or environmental care projects on the land trainings are held. You can learn more at the Tul'ix Giving Back page.
